The latest BUZZ

I am here in Cagayan de Oro City right now and I hate to say that I am lovin' my stay here. I still hate the horrible traffic and the dusts and the garbages all around the city lane, but I think I have come to the part where I have already adapted to this place. When I got to this place, all my friends talked about was how fun it is to join the blog advertising opportunities that are already around the web. I am not sure if you are already aware of this blog for pay programs that are running around the internet. I learned about this just recently after a friend told me about it. I googled it up and found out that there are a number of sites that provide the same opportunities to bloggers like me, and one of the few good sites that I have ever hopped on was bloggersreview. If I had not read the topics in one of those forums, I would have not found this very good site. It is well managed plus the tech support personnels are quick and responsive. In as much as I am loving my stay here in Cagayan de Oro City, I am also lovin' my visit in bloggersreview.

Gossip Girl is here

My friend buzzed me up last night to tell me a Get Paid Blogging program. I was quite surprised with the message since I am not really familiar with those kind of web sites. It's funny how excited he is too. I have never seen him so excited he is about something before. So I think I am checking it out and see what I can do about it. I love blogging too, you know.

Top Five Worst (and at the same time) Best Places in Mindanao

I have already traveled in lots of places, especially in the Philippine archipelago. Inasmuch as they are promoting Philippine tourism, I would like to warn the public to not be so deceived with the beautiful places that you see on TV. That is, if you're planning to go on vacation, don't just be fooled with the advertisements---do a research yourself and start it through google.

Here are my top ten worst plus best places in Mindanao.

1. Cagayan de Oro City (Misamis Oriental) - the Cagayan de Oro people might get mad at me by doing this. It's just that I think it really deserves to be in my top ten list for the fact that the place really isn't good to live in.

Traffic --- the place is just as hell as Metro Manila.
Public Utility Transport and System - Man, I have never met really reckless drivers in my entire life like the drivers in CDO. Plus, they have this morning and evening re-routing system that is really, really stressful.
No vacation spots -- Unlike some urban areas in Mindanao like Davao City, the place just doesn't have lots of places to choose from.
Hotels -- If you're planning to check in a hotel, please have a reservation especially when you're planning to visit CDO during weekends or else you might end up living in one of their creepy "hotels" which looks like love hotels for me.

On the positive side:
CDO's bound for people who wants to party up all night! The place is so cool if you're into rock/reggae music. Visit the place during the weekend and go to the place in Divisoria called --The Night Cafe. Spend the time with your friends, drink beer, etc!

Not only it is good for partying, it is also good for people who wants to go bargain shopping. Ukay-ukay's pretty 'in' in that city. Prices are really affordable and reasonable.

2. Mangagoy (Surigao del Sur)

I think they could at least do a little improvement in their waste management. The mayor/governor should really be assigning some town cleaners and put some trash bins in the streets. The place is just so dirty and messy.

Malls/Shopping Centers are so weird. They got no air-conditioning machines. For people like me who have asthma, good luck!

The parks haven't been undergone much pimpin' up too. I think they could use some of the town's money to put up some places for people to get together.

On the positive side:
Seafoods are in bounty--prices seem lower than what we have in the supermarkets. Shrimps, crabs, lobsters, fish...

3. Butuan City (Agusan del Sur)
I'm telling you, don't bring your ferrari cars there for your tires might break after a long tour inside the city. The roads are so cracked.. and man, people doesn't seem to follow the traffic rules.

Inside the movie house: The people doesn't behave pretty well inside...they're too loud and too chatty that will annoy you all throughout the movie.

No taxis / cabs.. You have no choice but to get a jeepney or a tricycle ride to get you all over the place.

On the positive side:
The movies are pretty cheap there. 35Php is equal to one movie pass. Sounds so good for all those movie fanatics in there, huh?

4. Iligan City (Lanao del Norte)
I have never seen people spitting inside the malls in my entire life until I went to Iligan! It's like they don't have this decency to spit out their eewwness in the public toilets or in the trash bin. You see spit all over the mall floor...and they don't care. Plus, if you're wearing a cap, you should check it in in the baggage counter---so weird, huh?

Vendors are everywhere the place!

They could also try putting up metro cleaners (about two of them) on each street for the place's just too dirty.

On the positive side:
Prices of goods are really affordable.

5. Prosperidad (Agusan del Sur)
The roads doesn't seem fit to the place's name, Prosperidad. Prosperidad is a term for prosperity.

At Paris

It's funny how people speak English here. They talk fast, they have a very nice accent, different expressions, and they're fond of using the words: bloody, mate, and eh.

What I loved most about the place are the old buildings, the lights at night, and shopping! Most of the ladies there, especially when you are in the metro, they look like as if they're planning to walk in the runway. They all look and dress up like the models you see in tv. Everywhere you go, you see an original Dior handbags..some are even dressed with Armani, shoes and purses made by Louis Vuitton, and many more luxurious and sinful items you can think about!

This is a really, really nice experience for me.

The Flight to Paris

Excitement is pouring all over me when I was waiting for my plane in the airport. I was clutching with me my passport and my airline ticket. I see it's no good bringing in my favorite drink inside because they're declining any liquid from a plastic bottle to get inside the plane anyway. They said, it could or may contain something that would explode later--like a bomb. I am no suicide bomber, believe me. I already checked-in my luggages, leaving me this only one handbag for me to carry. I am so excited to be on Paris. I already converted my peso money into pounds, euros, and dollars in case i need those currencies later. Maybe I would find my favorite authors there -- Sophie Kinsella of the SHopaholic and JK Rowling, the famous author for the Harry Potter. I am excited about shopping, about going to the clubs, about meeting new people...

The attendant says the plane bound to Paris has just arrived, she told us to get ready.

My heart was pumping so fast just as I went inside.

They checked me, my passport, my visa, and my airline tickets.

Now I am inside the airplane..

Cool.

First Things First

Is this what they call Earth? It's not so cool to look at after all.. tsk tsk tsk..  Yellow friends and visitors! I just arrived home from a very, very awesome trip at SM City Davao today. I'm glad to tell you that I am currently happy right now even for the fact that I was left here home alone. My folks are in New Bansalan to attend a relative's burial...They thought I wasn't interested in coming with them that's why they left me while I was still at the brim of my post midnight dreams. I was surprised seeing the whole house empty with people this morning, so I called Mom and asked her why the heck did they leave me behind. The morning breeze was so cold that made me sleep some more. I have lots of time for all the work and other stuffs.. We will not be having our online learning classes this Monday so I am more than happy to let this Saturday of mine be my time of sleep and rest. :) When I got home last night, I received a text message coming from an anonymous sender asking/pleading to turn off everything, even my cellular phones for one hour in celebrating earth day! It's weird to be receiving those kind of messages sometimes but I have learned that just by shutting off every electronic appliances we have in at least one hour, we can somehow help this planet in becoming a better place to live! So of course, I took heed of the message and shut down everything for one hour. I love the earth, and if it is earth day, I will of course participate each and every activity imposed by some of the organizers. Anyway, I am just glad to be back in school again. School is something that I really treasure in this lifetime. I would be finishing school in a year or so... and I'm just excited to receive my diploma. After all, I deserve to have one, I guess.
